Arthur Manor Neighborhood Association

The Association met with neighbors on March 16th to discuss the Village proposal for parking changes around Davis Park. It was decided at the meeting that the Association will ask the Village to create "No Parking Here To Corner" zones at the intersection of Lyons and Carman Roads, on the playground side of the street.

These zones would prohibit parking for approximately 15 feet from the corners. We will ask the Village to install appropriate signage and street markings and to monitor the area frequently for violations. We hope that this will alleviate the dangerously reduced sightlines that now exist.

The Association also approved the signage changes recommended by the Village for the roads surrounding the park, which will increase motorist's awareness that a playground is nearby.

At this time, the Association does not recommend implementing "No Parking" zones either on the park or residence sides of Lyons, Carman and/or Bradley Roads.
